Patti Neely
before completion of her smile makeover. She wanted here smile to
look more uniform and updated. Her concern was that the yellow color of
the older fillings and bondings was keeping her from smiling like she
wanted to smile.

"I can't express how
happy I am with my new smile. It's a gift from God. Thank you so much
Dr. Bill for helping me with my lovely smile!"

This "before" photo
illustrates the way composite resins used for fillings and bondings will
pick up stain over time and become darker than the surrounding porcelain
crowns and natural tooth enamel. Updating them is essential to keep a
youthful smile. |

Her
new smile makeover lets her smile bigger, with more confidence. Best of
all its now straight and level, brighter and all of the teeth are more
ideally aligned. She now loves her smile and is flashing her grin
everywhere she goes! |

Patti was all smiles the
day we gave her her new smile. Her treatment was done in two major
appointments, one for the upper and one for the lower plus the two
delivery appointments two weeks after the preparation visits. "I
did nor realize that I could get all my work done in just one or two
visits but it was amazingly fast and comfortable", says Patti. |

Testimonial |

The old amalgam
silver-mercury fillings showed through the enamel as a grey color while
the old composite resin picked up a yellow color over the year. All this
led to a mismatch of colors in the smile. |
|

When her old crowns and
fillings were updated to her new all porcelain crowns, the look of
health and beauty was dramatic. |

Pretreatment look at the
left side showing the significant color challenges we faced. |

The new look is
priceless! |

Her upper teeth had many
large fillings that needed updating to more sturdy as well as beautiful
crowns. Notice here that the bicuspids (the teeth just in front of the
larger molars) are tucked in and not as visible as the canines...this is
a problem that we wanted to correct in order to make a full smile. |

The upper teeth after
reconstruction were straight and much more attractive. Note how the arch
form is more rounded and full on each side (the buccal corridor). Each
canine was deemphasized and each bicuspid was made larger to fill in the
deficiency area. This is what make a smile really attractive. |

Smile Makeover
A Classy Lady
A smile makeover is more
than just putting new crowns over the front teeth. The balance of the
lips, gums and teeth, the curves of each of them in relation to each
other as well as the orthodontic alignment of each tooth have a dramatic
effect on the end result. |

Putting together a
smile takes lots of understanding of the what makes up a smile.
Her smile is now
priceless!
Smile
analysis (a thorough examination and breakdown of the component
parts of the smile by the dentist then the sequential planning of the
steps to reestablish the ideal smile) is the key to excellent results
every time. |

Before our treatment |

After
the new crowns on the lower back teeth. |

Notice that the first
bicuspids in this view are entirely hidden. As mentioned above, the
narrow arch form creates a dark area of the smile and makes the front
teeth stand out while making the back teeth seem to disappear. |

After the completion of
her smile makeover, the smile is full and even, the colors are very
balanced, even and attractive. Patti can now smile with confidence and
know that she is as lovely on the outside as she is on the inside. |
